Mr. Language Explosion

Ewan's been picking up new words every week now. They come out of nowhere. This is comforting since he's been silent Bob for most of his 2 1/2 years. "You", "Weeee", "Get out", "Get down, "I know" (which was fantastically amusing as he copied Prunella Scales from Fawlty Towers on the phone saying "I know. Oh, I know. I know"), "Gymbo", "Oh no", "Bath" ("bat"), "Bub" (for bubbles), "Okay" (which can come out like "okay" or "okayheee"), "hello", "bye", "hi", "thank you" (sounds like "day-you"), "shake" (sounds like "shuh") & "I love you" (more like "I wa uuuuu").

We've also been taking him to Gymboree the last 6 months. He usually keeps to himself, playing on his own and making up his own games but he loves the singing and dancing bits. There are parts he never does and seems to have no interest in but when we get home he's now been acting those out. Weird and really amusing. "We want, we want Gymbo", "Shake, shake your sillies out", "Sleep, Gymbo, sleep" and then jumps up and dances around...these come a little garbled but we know what he means. Lately, he's been getting really into the "Freeze Dance" where all the kids dance around, then freeze, then dance, then freeze. He's super cute, opening his eyes and mouth really wide on the freeze part. And, he gets ecstatic and exuberant when they do the "Hip, Hip, Hoorays". You got to be there but it's fun to see what he picks up and how he expresses himself.

I've been sick for like the 4th time in 8 weeks. I don't know what the deal is. My ears clogged up about 10 days ago and I can't hear crap. I feel like an old man and Amy's about to brain me. I'm hacking and congested. It sucks.

I've also been taking this white box computer class for the last 6 weeks. It's about 8 hrs of online time per week and whatever homework I've had. It's thrown off my schedule and my cooking abilities. Lately, all I've been making Amy is some version of Chicken (fake chicken, of course) and potatoes. Amy's had it. It's also messed up my Facebook friend recommendations as all of my classmates are communicated with via Gmail and Facebook picks this up. Oi vey!

We've hit the 23rd week of the pregnancy. We decided on a name, we got a doula for Ewan, things are progressing well. I go through phases where I almost forget we're having another baby and then times where I can't get him off my mind. And, yes, it's a he. Another boy. :)

England is kind of the same fuzzy spot in mind as the baby...I know it's coming, it's on my mind but doesn't feel real yet. Better go make my to do list on getting there. That'll make it real.
